Dipeptidase that catalyzes the hydrolysis of dipeptides with a prolyl (Xaa-Pro) or hydroxyprolyl residue in the C-terminal position. The preferred dipeptide substrate is Gly-Pro, but other Xaa-Pro dipeptides, such as Ala-Pro, Met-Pro, Phe-Pro, Val-Pro and Leu-Pro, can be cleaved. 25 ug total protein per lane of various lysates (see on figure) probed with PEPD monoclonal antibody, unconjugated (bsm-62736R) at 1:1000 dilution and 4°C overnight incubation. Followed by conjugated secondary antibody incubation at r.t. for 60 min.
