STK40 may be a negative regulator of NF-kappa-B and p53-mediated gene transcription. There are four named isoforms. Function: May be a negative regulator of NF-kappa-B and p53-mediated gene transcription. Subcellular Location: Cytoplasmic and Nuclear. Tissue Specificity: Strongly expressed in heart, brain, placenta, lung, skeletal muscle, kidney, spleen, thymus, prostate, liver, pancreas, testis, ovary, small intestine, colon and peripheral blood leukocytes. Similarity: Belongs to the protein kinase superfamily. CAMK Ser/Thr protein kinase family. Contains 1 protein kinase domain. Paraformaldehyde-fixed, paraffin embedded (rat brain tissue); Antigen retrieval by boiling in sodium citrate buffer (pH6.0) for 15min; Block endogenous peroxidase by 3% hydrogen peroxide for 20 minutes; Blocking buffer (normal goat serum) at 37°C for 30min; Antibody incubation with (STK40) Polyclonal Antibody, Unconjugated (bs-6899R) at 1:200 overnight at 4°C, followed by operating according to SP Kit(Rabbit) (sp-0023) instructionsand DAB staining.
