Rabbit  Anti-Myelin Protein Zero/PE-Cy5
Cat. Number:
bs-0337R-PE-Cy5
Quantity size:
100ul
Concentration:
1mg/ml  Buffer = 0.01M TBS(pH7.4) with 1% BSA, 0.03% Proclin300 and 50% Glycerol.
Background:
Myelin protein-zero is the major structural protein of peripheral myelin, accounting for more than 50% of the protein present in the sheath of peripheral nerves. Expression of the gene encoding Myelin protein-zero (MPZ) is restricted to Schwann cells; MPZ is not found in the CNS. An integral membrane glycoprotein of ~28kDa, Myelin protein-zero is thought to link adjacent lamellae and thereby stabilize the myelin assembly. The other 3 major components of myelin are myelin basic protein, myelin proteolipid protein and myelin-associated glycoprotein.
Also known as:
peripheral myelin prothein Zero; MPZ; MPP; Myelin P0 protein; CHM; CMT1; CMT1B; DSS; MYELIN GLYCOPROTEIN P-ZERO; MYELIN PROTEIN PERIPHERAL; Myelin protein zero; P0; MYP0_HUMAN.
Specificity:
Rabbit Polyclonal IgG, affinity purified by Protein A.
Reacts with: (predicted: )
Immunogen: KLH conjugated synthetic peptide derived from human P0 protein (209-228aa).
Predicted Molecular Weight: 24kDa.
Storage:
0.01M TBS(pH7.4) with 1% BSA, 0.03% Proclin300 and 50% Glycerol. Store at -20 °C for one year. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles. The lyophilized antibody is stable at room temperature for at least one month and for greater than a year when kept at -20°C. When reconstituted in sterile pH 7.4 0.01M PBS or diluent of antibody the antibody is stable for at least two weeks at 2-4 °C.
